This is my favorite lighthouse in the whole wide world. 🙂
Why?
Well, that’s hard to say………..
- It’s close to my house (within 2 hours, depending on route taken)
- You can stay there (always a bonus!)
- It’s CHEAP!!
- Beautiful location
- Classic lighthouse, well kept up
All of that is very well and good, but in addition to that there is just a certain indefinable something………anyway, I love it, and I hope you do too. 🙂
A Photo That I Took 🙂
More photos are available on Flickr. 🙂
How to Get There:

- Rte. 81 North to Watertown
- From Watertown, take Rte. 12E to Cape Vincent
- In Cape Vincent, turn left on Broadway, which becomes Tibbett’s Point Road.
- Take Tibbett’s Point Road out to the lighthouse. 🙂

It’s absolutely georgeous – one of those classic lighthouses. As a place to stay overnight, it’s a completely undiscovered gem. Part of me would like to keep it a secret forever, and part of me wants to share it with the world….. […]
