Sriracha Chex Mix
Ingredients
- 3 c. Corn Chex
- 3 c. Rice Chex
- 1 c. pretzels
- 1 c. peanuts
- 1 c. crunchy chow mein noodles
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. sriracha
- 2 T. soy sauce
- 1 t. grated ginger
- 1 t. grated garlic
- 1 c. wasabi peas
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 250º degrees F.
- Mix all the dry ingredients together (Corn Chex - chow mein noodles) in a large bowl.
- Melt butter in the microwave. Stir in the sriracha, soy sauce, garlic and ginger. Pour the butter mixture over the dry ingredients.
- Spread the Chex Mix in a single layer on two baking trays. Bake for an hour, stirring every 15 min., until crunchy and flavorful. Allow to cool and then mix in the wasabi peas. Store in a closed container at room temperature.
Variations
- Sriracha Honey-Roasted Peanuts: Make up half of the butter mixture (2 T. butter, 2 T. sriracha, 1 T. soy sauce, 1/2 t. ginger, 1/2 t. garlic) and pour it over 1 jarful of honey roasted peanuts. Bake at 250º F for ~45 minutes, stirring every 15 min. Allow to cool and then return to the container to store.
