Conversion Table for White Flour

In recipes that do call for white flour, you can substitute almond flour or coconut flour instead.

Almond Flour

You have to use double the amount of almond flour.

If recipe calls for Use
1/4 cup white flour 1/2 cup almond flour
1/3 cup white flour 2/3 cup almond flour
1/2 cup white flour 1 cup almond flour
2/3 cup white flour 1 and 1/3 cups almond flour
3/4 cup white flour 1 and 1/2 cups almond flour
1 cup white flour 2 cups almond flour
1 and 1/2 cups white flour 3 cups almond flour
2 cups white flour 4 cups almond flour

Tips

  • Don't overpack a cup of almond flour; it's dense and heavier.
  • Almond flour burns more easily than all-purpose flour, so keep the oven's heat at or below 350°F and be sure to keep a close eye on it.
