Dill Bread
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. dry yeast softened in 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 c. luke warm cottage cheese
- 2 T. sugar
- 1 T. butter
- 1 T. onion
- 2 t. dill seed
- 1 t. salt
- 1/4 t. baking soda
- 1 egg
- 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 c. flour
Directions
- Combine all the ingredients but the flour.
- Add flour to form stiff dough.
- Cover and let rise at 85-90° F until doubled (50-60 minutes).
- Punch down and turn onto greased 8“ round 2 qt casserole dish.
- Let rise 30-40 minutes.
- Bake at 350° F for 40-50 minutes.
- Brush with butter and sprinkle with salt.
