Dill Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast softened in 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 c. luke warm cottage cheese
  • 2 T. sugar
  • 1 T. butter
  • 1 T. onion
  • 2 t. dill seed
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1/4 t. baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 c. flour

Directions

  • Combine all the ingredients but the flour.
  • Add flour to form stiff dough.
  • Cover and let rise at 85-90° F until doubled (50-60 minutes).
  • Punch down and turn onto greased 8“ round 2 qt casserole dish.
  • Let rise 30-40 minutes.
  • Bake at 350° F for 40-50 minutes.
  • Brush with butter and sprinkle with salt.
