I called the Environmental School and Mifflin Church today. The upshot is:

Environmental School was dubious because of liability issues (whatever those are for them, exactly) but suggested I email the principal with my request. I did so, but I am not holding my breath for them to either get back to me, or to give us the go-ahead.

Mifflin Church: they were open to the idea, but the pastor needs to call me back and say if they have the space available. So far he has not done so. I shall try to keep bugging them.</description>
